The Liquid-Tracks product line is a flexible, module-oriented audio, MIDI, and sound processing rack unit. Its primary functions relate to backing-track processing and MIDI sequencing; however, enhancements enable audio processing and control of other Liquid products.

Standard features across this product line include two unbalanced channels of audio playback. Files are read from either a front or rear USB connector, or from one of various supported media cards, which can be inserted into the front panel connector. File formats for audio include MP3 or MIDI files. MIDI files containing standard and sysex data can be synchronized to audio playback. MIDI data is transmitted in real time via the MIDI-OUT connector.

Furthermore, there is a digital AUX port which allows an additional two to four channels of audio, depending on the model/module configuration. Standard LT-50/LT-100 models come with two channels of unbalanced audio. Cables for attaching and controlling iPod and related Apple products, as well as additional Liquid-Tracks or Liquid-Router products will be available as well.

The LT-100 AUX2 connectors come standard with a MIDI-controlled preamp for guitar or sound sources. Colored and clean settings are available and vary based on add-on modules and/or configurations.

Presets are automatically generated for new cards. Modifications to the presets can be made within the device, or through open software on PC or MAC (when available).

Each preset (whether MIDI triggered, or manually selected) allows a custom setting for the preamp, audio file, MIDI file, playback mode, as well as audio playback speed changes, volume, treble, bass, auto triggering options, and playback delay settings. MIDI tracks have custom BPM settings to allow for varying or non-file-standard speed of playback settings.

Several of the special features include: 1) a full sysex recording and playback system for device backup or real-time configuration, which is triggerable or manual; 2) intermission mode, which is a stand-alone audio folder player that plays in sequential or random mode; 3) MIDI sequence recorder which records and generates live midi sequences that can be synced with an audio track and linked to a preset; 4) automatic power state - the unit remembers the last power state prior to loss of power and will regain standby or active mode upon power restart to the unit; and 5) programmable MIDI OUT/THRU on one connector- enhances routing capabilities when using Liquid-Tracks as a MIDI sequencer.

MIDI PORTS

Standard Midi In, Out and thru. The Midi Out port is software controlled to allow midi thru data as well. The L-Tracks can capture midi dumps, send midi dumps, and also process midi sequences connected to presets. This allows the L-Tracks to manage your sysex backups for your entire rig, as well as act as a master midi sequencer to follow along with your audio should you desire.

Digital Aux Expander

This port allows the connection of various external equipment. Cables for interconnection with devices such as iPods, other L-Tracks modules and various future extensions can be integrated and controlled via this port. Audio can also be transferred via this port. As an example, a custom cable was made to enable the L-Tracks to control the iPod/iPhone family of products, and provides a balanced audio output via Aux outputs L/R.

Main Outputs

Both the XLR and the TRS jacks are balanced. If you connect a TS plug into the TRS jacks, the will act as unbalanced signals. Audio tracks played by the L-Tracks will output via these connectors. If an add-on module is installed, then these outputs maybe used for other purposes.

Aux In/Out

These input/outputs are balanced when used as outputs with TRS cables, and unbalanced when used with TS cables. By default, and audio processing in conjunction with Digital Aux connected devices will output to these jacks. Add-on modules may change this functionality. Please read the add-on modules user guide for setup and configuration of these ports. When used as inputs, they are unbalanced In and the modules will dictate Hi-Z or Lo-Z requirements..

Aux 2 Pre-Amp

Standard with the LT-100 is an internal midi controlled pre-amp. Designed to provide the character of the famed SDD-3000 in one setting. Alternate character and "hot-ness" in other settings. Each preset can have a pre-configured pre-amp level, or a midi expression pedal can send midi data to control this pre-amp in real-time. Add-on modules can effect to usage of these inputs and outputs. By default, IN1 is a guitar In, and Out2 is the pre-amp out.
